Rugby Tips - Week Two Review

Week 2 Review

A fantastic second week for us where we improved on last week’s 11.2 Points of Profit banked by adding a humongous 18.36 points to push our overall total to 29.56 Points for the service. Thus meaning anyone betting £10 a point is already a cool £295.60 in profit.

Here’s a brief review of the weekend’s action and how it unfolded for us.

Bristol 21 - 26 Wasps

A close encounter at Ashton Gate where Wasps showed up looking much better than a team that had only won 1 of their last 6 league matches. Truth be told they were much the better side 1st half but thankfully trailed 3-0 at half time, thus meaning we were playing both sides of the coin in the match result due to having Bristol in our multis and Bristol Half Time Wasps Full Time at a massive 16/1, with only an extremely improbable draw being able to cost us. Wasps made their pressure tell 2 minutes after half time when crossing for a try under the posts to lead 7-3 and from here the lead went back and forth in what turned into a very entertaining spectacle following a drab 1st half. The game was settled on the final whistle when with Wasps trailing 21-19 Nizaam Carr miraculously kept his balance down the right touchline and with a trail of Bristol defenders in his wake he managed to dot down for the match winning try and land us a 16/1 bet in the process, putting us in a very healthy position entering the weekend’s games.

Recommended Bet: 1 Point Wasps Half Time Bristol Full Time at 6/1 - LOST

Recommended Bet: 1 Point Bristol Half Time Wasps Full Time at 16/1 – WON +16 Points

Bath 16 - 14 Sale

Bath lead 6-0 at half time and then 13-0 shortly after the break making our faith in them coming home with the win look well placed, however they then conceded 2 converted tries in 10 minutes, thus leaving a sweaty final 15 minutes. Thankfully they forced a penalty with 10 minutes to go to take a 16-14 lead, which they defended heroically at the death resulting in them walking away victorious by the finest of margins.

Worcester 20 - 6 London Irish

London Irish for me are a side to keep an eye on in the next few weeks as they are starting to have the feel of a side that’s season is falling apart. They registered some good results early whilst the stronger sides were away at the world cup but recently they have taken some hidings. This result was rarely in doubt with Worcester racing into a 13-3 lead and when London Irish were reduced to 14 men after 33 minutes that was the final nail in the coffin. In fairness Irish battled hard to only go down 20-6 at Full Time which considering the predicament they were in early on it could have been much worse. Nevertheless it was a comfortable Worcester win and landed our Bath Worcester double to add to our weekly total.

Exeter 14 - 7 Saracens

Exeter got the better of Saracens at Sandy Park as predicted but were somewhat fortunate to do so. Saracens were much the better side first half but Exeter lead 7-0 at the break after a breakaway Nick White try. Exeter powered over from close range 10 minutes into the 2nd half and from there our bet was never in doubt. Saracens rallied for a late penalty try to close to 14-7 but we easily landed our Exeter +1.5 Match Handicap bet and finished in a heavy profit for the week.
